Lorelei (Lori) Lein
Lori joined the League's legal department in 2001, bringing with her a solid background in local government issues after practicing law in Montgomery, Alabama, where her primary clients were county officials. In addition, she gained in-depth experience working with the state legislature while serving as a legislative analyst for the Alabama Legislative Reference Service for two years. Lori presently serves as the League's General Counsel and is responsible for advising municipal officials and employees from over 400 member cities and towns. She also works closely with the League's state and federal legislative agenda and is a frequent speaker on issues relating to municipal law in Alabama.
Originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, Lori received a bachelor of science degree from Auburn University's College of Engineering in Textile Management and Technology in 1992 and then returned to New Mexico and earned her law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1996. She is licensed to practice law in Alabama, New Mexico and Colorado. Additionally, she is a member of the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA), the Alabama Association of Municipal Attorneys (AAMA) and the American Bar Association.
Lori and her husband, Greg, Director of Alabama State Parks, are the proud parents of Brennan Lein. They reside in Montgomery but spend as much time as possible hiking, camping, canoeing and enjoying the outdoors.
Assistant General Counsel
Rob joined the League staff in 2012 as Assistant General Counsel and is responsible for advising municipal officials and employees from more than 450 member cities and towns, writing legal articles, addressing municipal officials, employees and attorneys on municipal matters and assisting with the League’s lobbying efforts. Rob came to the League with a strong background in election law after serving as the Elections Attorney with the Alabama Secretary of State’s Office for nearly five years where he provided legal information to public officials regarding election law and procedures as well as written and verbal communication to the general public and media. Rob also spent several years in private practice, specializing in civil litigation and appeals, and served as a law clerk with the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals and the Alabama Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court.
Rob grew up in Prattville, Alabama. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Alabama in 1996 and his J.D. degree from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2001. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA), the Alabama Association of Municipal Attorneys (AAMA) and the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum.
Outside the office, Rob is involved in church activities and is a member of a local civic club. He enjoys running, reading and sports.
Teneé R. J. Frazier
Assistant General Counsel
Teneé joined the League staff in 2014 as Assistant General Counsel and is responsible for advising municipal officials and employees from over 440 member cities and towns, writing legal articles, addressing municipal officials, employees and attorneys on municipal matters and assisting with the League's lobbying efforts. Teneé came to the League with a strong background in local government after working with the City of Tuskegee for more than four years where she assisted the Mayor and the City Manager with a variety of government functions and served as a liaison between the City Council and the citizens of Tuskegee.
Teneé also served as a law clerk for Judges Pamela R. Higgins, Troy Massey and Jimmy Pool of the Montgomery County District Court - Fifteenth Judicial Circuit; the Southern Poverty Law Center; and the District of Columbia Office of the Attorney General. While in law school, she was involved in redrafting Articles of the Alabama Constitution. Teneé received her B.A. from Troy University in 2005 and her J.D. from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2013. She is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA), the Alabama Association of Municipal Attorneys (AAMA) and the American Bar Association.
Teneé and her husband, Michael are very active in their church and community. They are the proud parents of six wonderful children.
Legal Services Administrator
Sharon joined the League's staff in 2002 as a receptionist and soon moved to her current position of Legal Services Administrator where she is responsible for assisting the legal staff, directing phone calls, maintaining the AAMA/AMJA membership/dues database and coordinating legal conferences. Sharon grew up in Montgomery and moved to Wetumpka in 2009 where she shares her home with her buddy, ‘Midget’. She has two grown children and three grandchildren.
