Live Locally Alabama

Live Locally Alabama

The Alabama League of Municipalities (ALM) is excited to launch its quality-of-life campaign entitled Live Locally Alabama on behalf of Alabama’s municipal leaders. The goal of this initiative is to encourage civic engagement, instill community pride and highlight the crucial role municipal government plays in the daily lives of Alabama’s citizens.

Alabama is made up of 465 cities and towns of various sizes, each with their own strengths and challenges. The campaign aims to provide strategic resources and one-on-one consultations for municipalities to help them improve how they showcase their uniqueness and remind citizens of the quality-of-life services they provide.

CAMPAIGN RESOURCES FOR MUNICIPALITIES

A major component of this campaign is ensuring our members have ready-to-use marketing assets to accomplish the aforementioned goal. This includes materials such as graphics, videos, press releases, a logo style guide, a strategic plan and more. These items can be used as is or tailored to include imagery or messaging unique to your individual communities.

The guidelines listed in the LLA campaign style guide will assist you with maintaining brand consistency as you incorporate the logo into your own visuals to promote positivity in our cities and towns. If you have any questions, please reach out to ALM’s Communications Director Lori Jhons.

RESOURCES FOR ALABAMIANS

Local governments are the backbone of society and have a profound impact on the day-to-day life of Alabamians. Getting involved in local government promotes a collaboration between citizens and government in coming up with new ways of relating and working together. Community engagement is pivotal to encourage more equitable, sustainable decisions to continue to improve livability in our local communities.

Citizens are encouraged to Shop Locally, Work Locally, Learn Locally, Explore Locally, Serve Locally and Live Locally! Get involved by attending council meetings and community events; engaging in elections; building relationships with local and state leaders; volunteering; and participating in community initiatives and improvement projects. You can also follow your municipality’s social media pages to stay up-to-date with their latest activities and plans.
