The League is proud to offer our Certified Municipal Official program’s core curriculum on a new online training platform in partnership with the Alabama Community College System (ACCS). RETURNING USERS:
After you've created an ACCS account and are ready to take more courses, follow the instructions below.
- Login to the ALM Member Portal* (icon on ALM Homepage): https://alm.imiscloud.com/ALALM
- Review your CMO transcript and order your next course under Online Training.
- Wait for the ALM email with the link for your specific ACCS course then login as a returning student into ACCS.

Who Can Register for Online Trainings: Any municipal employee may register for an online training course; however, only elected officials (mayors and councilmembers) will be awarded credit hours in the CMO program.
Check List of Items Needed to Register for Online Trainings:
- ALM Member Portal USERNAME & PASSWORD
- ALM Member Portal ID # for ACCS Registration
- Payment Method (ACCS access will be sent when payment is fully processed)
- Social Security Number for ACCS Student Verification
- Scanned Copy of Drivers’ License or Government Issued ID (For New & Returning Users)
- Email Address You Personally Have Access To
CMO Credit Hours: To receive credit for the online training courses, officials must take and submit a test on the materials presented once prompted at the end of each online training. A score of 70% or above is required to earn credit. Each course qualifies for one credit hour in the basic, advanced or emeritus levels of the CMO program. Learn more about each level on the main CMO program page. Please note: Credit hours are not immediately reflected in your CMO program transcript until the month following test submission.
Payment: Each training is $45 with the option to pay by credit card or check. If you pay by check, you will not receive access to the course until payment is received. Once payment is submitted and processed, registrants will receive an order confirmation email immediately (sent to the email on the registration form). If you do not receive the email in your inbox, check your spam, junk or clutter folders.
